Why do you get white spots on your teeth?

There are a couple of various reasons for spots on the teeth. To begin with, if the spots have been present since you were a kid, this might be because of disruption in the enamel formation. Enamel hypoplasia in forming teeth is a common problem, as is hyper fluorosis, white spots created from ingesting an excessive amount of fluoride. In case that the spots are new and showed up on full grown-up teeth, then these causes are far-fetched.

Another potential cause is plaque development. Plaque is debris and bacterial that form hard scale on the surface of the teeth, more often than not close to the gum line. Whenever shown, plaque can make this bit of the teeth look stained, and this might be what you are seeing.
