Does Tea Stain Your Teeth?

At home, follow healthy dental routine such as brushing your teeth regularly can prove to be really helpful. Brushing your teeth 2 times a day is good, but brushing instantly after you drink a cup of tea is even better. Drinking water after a cup of tea can also decrease the amount of tannin left in your mouth.

Start drinking herbal or green teas instead of black tea to lessen the staining, although it will not remove the problem in total. For added stain fighting, try brushing with a good tooth paste, which can whiten teeth up to 3 times better.

There are foods and drink which can stain your teeth like tea, coffee, soda, wine, strawberries, chocolate, etc. The tannins present in the Tea build up on the tooth enamel and thus lead to teeth stain. Some black teas can give more discoloration than coffee.
