How many days after EWCM does ovulation occur?

The cervical mucus alters with the levels of hormone present in the blood stream. As the levels of estrogen increase, the cervical mucus becomes clearer, wetter and thinner. This phenomenon during which the estrogen levels rise is usually termed as Egg White Cervical Mucus (EWCM). At the time of ovulation, the wet cervical mucus stops.

In majority of women, ovulation happens on the day the wet or EWCM stops. In rare cases, one day after the day EWCM has stopped. The clear, thin, wet mucus is generated up to 6 days before the ovulation, this is fertile mucus. The EWCM is generated before ovulation, this is highly fertile mucus.
