How did I get a urinary tract infection?

UTIs are a key reason we're frequently advised to wipe from front to whenever we use a washroom. That is due to the fact that the urethra - the tube that transports urine from the bladder to the outside of the body - is found near the rear-end.

Microbes from the internal organ, for example, E. coli, are in the ideal position to get away from the outside and attack the urethra. From that point, they can go up to the bladder, and if the infection isn't dealt with, it may reach up to the kidneys. Chances of UTI are higher in women.
